My 16yo bought This is a Book for People Who Love Birds as a gift for my bird loving 10-year-old, and the 10-year-old is a huge fan of this read. While not written specifically for children, the book is full of fun facts and details that will engage bird fans of all ages.
American Museum of Natural History Presents Birds of North America
The AMNH Birds of North America book features photographs of more than 650 bird species found in North America. The book also describes bird characteristics and behavior, including nesting and feeding and flight patterns. This is a fantastic read for children who love birds.
